My painting of an RAF Search and Rescue Westland Sea King WS-61 HAR3 Helicopter. I grew up near the Dorset coast so I used to see a lot of Navy and RAF Sea Kings flying around my area. As a child I watched a Sea King performing a rescue demonstration/practice near Bournemouth on a very sunny day. That memory inspired me to compose this painting.

'Summer Sea King' was the winner of the 'RAF Museum Award' 2025 at the Guild of Aviation Artists Annual Exhibition held at the Shuttleworth Collection.
